Hi everyone I am pretty new to all of this. I just purchased the HP 310 printer and am looking to do some t-shirts for a benefit. I am looking at buying a heat press but don't know where to start... any advise is welcome thank you!

Are you going to be using a print/cut material for the shirts?

We use George Knight presses, they are american made and great quality.

What we use as well.

However, any of your quality brand presses should do right by you. I wouldn't try to cheap out on a press. Your more economy brands (or even economy models within brand name presses) can cause uneven heat across the platen, which could lead for erratic end products.

We use the geo knights for heat press vinyl, sublimation, print/cut, patch production, applique shapes production. Very good consistent quality. There are others, but really do like geo knight.

I have t-shirt and cap heat presses with pneumatic membrane tables, and with auto open function which costed 150 euros more / press when i purchased those 3 years ago. In my opinion, pneumatic membrane table is a must, no need to open zippers etc :)..
Auto open is also very nice, we are always in hurry so i can just leave the press when it's closed with no need to wait the pressing time.

I have rollsroller flatbed laminator with air compressor, so we just used pneumatic y fitting to take the compressed air to presses.

I have these:
