I was in the Sign Business for over 30 years but decided to get into the Faux Finishing Business back in 1989. Well today I got a Call to do some 23 Karat Gold Leaf Gilding - Coin Pattern on two Half Dome Ceiling areas about 48 inches in Diameter.... It has been so long, I do not know the going rate for Gilding 23 Karat Patent Gold these days .... Does anyone have any input on this kind of work these days? Thank You.
My current daily rate for Faux Painting is at $400 a day. But Gold Leaf is a little different I would think.
I think I could do both Domes in two days .... Thanks Guys
