Hi everyone, I have worked in the sign industry for 4 years now. I know for sure that I want to open up my own shop within the next couple years. I am preparing now, getting everything lined up so I start off on the right foot. I've just recently started looking for industrial space, any advice on lease agreements and type of location that would be more available for customers?

I want to get into the monument/trade show graphics area for larger clients and have a small vinyl, banner shop still available for smaller clients. Any suggestions would be great.

When you are looking for space keep it cheap and easy. Remember you are the destination. People will look for you. Good frontage is nice for walk in traffic, but if you are going to get most of your business through refurrals and pounding the pavement, save as much money as you can!

Cheep, out of the way, place is good if you plan to do trade show stuff. The walk ins can take up a good amount of your time too.
