Was printing a 4x8 on IJ180 yesterday using the IJ180 1440x1440 profile from Wasatch and noticed a problem. (In this mode the printer is printing uni-directional)
The background of the print was a dark olive green and every few inches I would get these dark "stripes" or ares in the print. No regular size to them or width and they appeared to be random. These stripes reminded me of a watermelon rind pattern. Printer is clean and nozzle check is perfect. Thinking it could be the media, so I changed out to Oracal 3165 just to see. Same thing...??
So not really sure what could be causing this. Perhaps a heater issue, as in uneven heating while the ink is being laid down. I will try to post some pics when I get in the office this morning. Just curious if anyone had seen or heard anything like this before?
