Help! I've forgotten and can't remember!!

I need help replicating the effect in the pic. I did this effect in Flexi on a different job so long ago I can't remember the steps to do it. I know it is something simple I'm missing. Man I feel stupid right now...

Why not open the file and open Design Editor, this should show you what objects the file contains.

It would appear that within your shadow you used interpolate colors feature on an inline/outline.

Duplicate the line of text.
Scale it down a little
Change the color
Place it in the back
Select both & use the "Blend" effect
(I think)

Thank you for all your help. It just wasn't happening in Flexi even though that's where I got the effect the first time. Ended up going through Ai and nailing it. Still bugs me as Flexi, from what I can remember was much simpler to achieve the effect.

Note: Design editor in Flexi wasn't a ton of help. Tried going through bit by bit and still had nothing. Odd part was the gradient steps were hot pink in my reference file from 2005. I dunno..?

For Ai people: Make a 2 copies of the lettering. Offset whatever amount you feel makes a pleasing drop shadow. Select your colors. Click "Blend" then Options. Set amount of Steps. Click Blend tool. Click on each copy. Ta-Da!

could it possibly be some playing around with the Shadow option? I just tried to recreate it but don't have the patience to mess around with it more.

Just thought I'd give ya a little refresher on the Flexi. I really is easy once you remember how it's done. I just took the q and outlined then separated it and did a duplicate of the q resized it and blend the put the blue q back on top. It one of those things in Flexi that you don't use all the time and it really can be a bear when you need it now.

Thank you for the refresher. Surprising how something so simple darn near gave me a migraine. Now the really embarrassing part. Wifey said: "Here ya go". Smirking while she said it.(she did it in Flexi too)
