Help - Mutoh ValueJet 1304 aftermarket printhead and head rank

Has anyone had any luck with aftermarket printheads from either ebay or anywhere else. My concern is that even the ones from Mutoh wont come with a warranty so why bother buying theres at over $2000. Doesnt make sense.

The other question is do you need a computer chip on it to work or not. Also do I need it with a head rank or can I use the old head rank. Thanks in advance please help.

Yes, Mutoh agents have no warranty for printer head.
Current popular offer of original VJ1304 head is $1500 each, not high like $2000.

All new head have their head rank, you can use it when you fit new head on printer.
You do not need any chip when the printer head replacement.
