Drifting towards the control panel if I understand correctly. That means Linear calibration is off. Just did mine minutes ago. You'll have to get into the Service Menu. Couple a clicks and Bob's your Uncle.
If it will not allow you to do the Linear Calibration then do a sensor check. If either the Front or Rear Paper Interrupt sensor is shot you'll have to replace one or both.
is the vinyl moving or is the print? print would be from the linear encoder, or encoder reader. If the vinyl itself is moving over, it's a pinch roller issue. Broken arm, or old worn rollers, or lots of build up on the grit rollers.
We had this problem on our XC540 and it was a roller issue, one of the rubber rollers separated from the metal and was just loose and wouldn't track properly. Also on ours the outer rollers are angled specific to be on the outside so if you changed one recently may check that.
what he said^^^
It could be the rollers. but watch out because the rollers that are not removable have a unique shape to pull the vinyl out. the inner sides have smaller circumference than the outside. You can order new ones and change them manually just put a piece of A4 paper under the rollers when you take the C clips out because its easy to lose them. And make sure you install the rollers the correct way.
