Ok... So just upgraded our computer after about 12 Years (Yeah Yeah I know!)... New Tower, Cards, Ports Etc... Went from XP to Win7 had to re-install 4.0, and Service Pack.

For Now... 2 Things,
1. None of the Gerber Fonts that I have been collecting for Years are in my Fonts File...
2. Font Converter now says Not Responding every time I try to install fonts.

Can anyone help me with this??
I do still have a drive with all of my old computer XP & Everything that I can Access if that helps??

Thanks in Advance!!

Look for the folder named GSPFonts. I have Omega 3 and it's located in C:/Program Files/Gerber Scientific Products/Omega 3.00/GSPFonts. This is the destination directory you will need to copy your fonts on your old machine into.

You should only copy the fonts that start with the letter "t" or the letter "u" and which end with the extension ".gsf". Do not copy any fonts in that start with "g".

I have no idea if the TrueType Font Converter will work with Windows 7 or not but I'm pretty sure it will only work with TrueType fonts and will not work with OpenType or Type One fonts.

In Omega 4.0 the font folder was moved based on Microsoft rules on folders / files.

From the Start menu select "Gerber Omega 4.00", then "Gerber Folder Locations", then "Gerber Fonts" - Windows Explorer will start and bring you to that folder.

You can copy your older fonts into this new folder. Start by doing a view and see if they show up when you start Composer.

Fonts that start with "G" are Gerber Fonts, "U" are user fonts that you created and "T" for TrueType / OpenType fonts you converted.

Also noted in the fonts folder a "ni" folder. This folder (Not Installed) are where fonts that are NOT on the Gerber DVD (that would be the "T" and "U" fonts) are moved when you uninstall them. If you have fonts in this folder (the old location) they should be moved to the "ni" folder of the new location.

You should never actually "delete" any fonts in the fonts folder or you are asking for trouble.

This and the above post are also true for Omega 5.0.
