That's good news
I feel for you on firing a doctor. I've had 2 family members in the hospital recently. One passed away, one is still in there (8 weeks now), and I've seen things at 2 hospitals I thought I'd never see in my lifetime in this country. For the first time in my life, I felt like I was watching medical care from a 3rd world country.
The one that's been in there for 8 weeks went in with a fairly simple issue. Ended up catching 2, yes, 2, bacterial infections that just about killed him. He's diabetic and I've watched them bring him big fat slices of chocolate cake, sugar packets, and so much other stuff that would harm him.
I watched him get worse and worse and the hospital doctor would not call in a specialist. One of the nurses spoke to the family and said she could not call the specialist in herself or she'd lose her job, but if they family asked her to, she could. So they did, and she did. The specialist came in, looked at him, and said "I didn't know you were in here, and this sick. You should have called me a week ago, I would have been here", and he changed some medicines and he started getting better.
I've never seen anything like it. I'm glad to see you stood up and fired a doctor. I think that needs to happen a whole lot more.
Best wishes and a speedy recovery for your hubby.
