Hey Buddy....

Two times in as many weeks I have gotten calls from "friends" who by the grace of something or someone are now trying to become graphic designers. First call. Hey buddy, my aunt wants me to make my dad a banner. My boss said to call you. I was thinking you could send me over the design for the car club he is in so I could put it on the banner. (Like I would not realize that then they would go to the club and offer to do the banners for them really cheap.) So I said no and he said, well then I will find out who created it and get it from them. Ummm hello. I created it. Not getting it. He took me off his friends list. :) Next one was this morning. Customer said you were talking about doing a banner and I was wondering how you were going to hang it from the billboard. What techinque you planned on and what you charge per sq. foot. How do you seem it? so on and so on. geez.... must think I got in the business yesterday. (like them) My rant for the day.

Those kinda calls have been coming in for decades.

The easiest way out of it today is to just not tell people you have Corel, Illustrator.... etc. and only use Proprietary Software. It can read those files, but they can't use your files as they aren't readable by most software packages today.
