How often do you guys replace printheads on your 26500?

Just wondering, we havent had to change one yet. I had heard you'd have to after every couple of ink carts. Yet, we are in the 3,000 ml range on all our original heads, with no issues and no warnings to change. Is this typical? Expected? Or are we lucky?

about 8-12 liters of ink here. the machine has automatically told us to change on some, other times it was just noticeable defects in prints that extra cleanings would not correct ...usually after a head strike/media jam, but so far never before i've put at least 6 carts of ink thru it.

never hurts to start your week by printing the test plots within the clean printheads menu, and check for missing nozzles before it becomes noticeable in your product.
$100 for a printhead, and a minute of your time, is nothing compared to the hundreds of $$$'s it costs to print a vehicle wrap, and find out later that you have to reprint.

According to HP, each head will electronically compensate for up to 40 clogged nozzles before the head will throw out an error. If the 40 clogged nozzles were spaced out it may not be noticeable, but if they are in a cluster then I would think to replace that head. Nozzle check should be routinely done, especially after a head strike or media jamb.

We upgraded to the L260 in Dec last year and have used 1 Set of Heads... we are getting 18 - 20L on most of them. We run extra cleanings and print .25" Gutters.

That's what I like to hear...We clean regularly as well. In the middle of 36 box truck wraps, and so far everything is looking A-Ok. Solid colors, no drop outs that I can see. Hope we can go as long too.

We were replacing about every 1500-2000ml. The last set we replaced was 5000ml. We usually change when we have the colour shift is unbearable. Yes, we replace them all at once. We are with in 250ml across the board on average when we replace them.
