I never manage to set it right! I left material to get to winder, and i paste it on winder! I always paste it in the middle of material! but after few meters it always get out of its way...

You should still be able to use the procedure to check that the take-up is aligned.

I cut the corners off of each side giving me a kind of 'arrow' shape.
I put part of one of the corners of ABV on the 'point' of this arrow and use this to 'pull' the media straight.

i will try to align it tomorrow... but even if it isnt aligned, i have no screws to set it more straight...

cut it like the end of a tie. (but it doesnt need to be that pointed)
Take a small triangle of vinyl, stick the wide end to the point, pull the point of your small triangle and attach to the take up.

yes, i get that part... but what is the difference if i dont cut it like tie? i still stick the midlle of material on take-up! lets say i can see where the middle of material is...

I tryed align take-up today, and i noticed that it isnt straight! by the instruction in the video, take-up system goes off the way for about 3mm... but, i can not align it, becouse, i dont have any screws for aligement! it is set as it is.

I think he is saying that the pickup roller is not parallel to the printer/feed roller.... so that after he puts the print on the pickup it gets tight on one side and loose on the other?? what do you think?

but how does he know for how much does he have to loose other side??

yesterday i tryed to align the pick-up, and i align it by force... left side of pick-up system (where engine is) was a little bit out of way, so use a little force, to get it in right position. Now, there is only a 0,5mm difference... yesterday i start printing 15m and today in morning, when i came back to the office and expect disaster, everything was ok!! I was very surprised!

But it is true, that i take material directly from the roll, and stick it to roll-up, and already then i start printing... but i doubt that this has anything to do with it... We will see, what will happen today... i just start printing 9m...

I have this same trouble with my 1304. Followed the video, and everything is lined up like they show in the video. But what it looks like is what jiarby says.

That's what is happening. on one side of the scroller bar (that rests against the vinyl and acts like a switch) the vinyl is obviously tighter than on the opposite end of the bar, which has more slack in the vinyl. So what happens is there is slightly more weight from that bar pushing against one side of the vinyl which gradually feeds the vinyl to one side or the other. I've had it get off enough to actually cause wrinkles in the vinyl up on the platen and have head strikes.

Could that bar be bent or twisted when it was all put together?

I liked the old take ups with the electronic eye for a switch much better than this one.
