How would you make this?

The Channel Letters are easy. I'm trying to figure out how to make this giant half cherry that the customer wants at the exit to their car wash. Needs to be illuminated. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Flat or 3d?
Flat - aluminum sub frame with 3mm acm riveted and print applied on top.
3d - hardrcoated foam. It have to be assembled on site.
I would make it smaller in full 3d. And stick it on the corner of the building just above garage door.

the black border lends nicely to a retainer - I would make it in sections (red painted retainers where the red butts up) no larger than 6 or 8 ft

whatever you do, also offer flatpanel or even wrapped brick - sticker shock will most likely come into play and the plans will change.
