HP L25500 questions

We have an l25500 that we have been using and I have a couple questions

The first is that if you are looking at the machine for some reason prints on the left side starting around the middle the ink seems to not dry if it is a lot of black or a darker color. I know there has probably been something about this but would anyone know how to fix the problem so we do not have to sit there with a heat gun and dry all of the prints?

The second is we were told to go onto the printer and change the inter pass delay for better quality with the material we use. I went to do that and it shows all the selections as being locked. Is there a way to make it so they are unlocked so that we can adjust them?

Thanks!

The temp sensor is on the right so you can get uneven drying sometimes.
Just bump the heat up a bit.

You can't change the default inter pass delay on these due to the firmware
although you can change it per job while it is printing.

Yep as stated the heat sensor is on the right and it determines how much heat to apply. To avoid the problem your having I put some App tape over 3-4 holes at the front left of the printer so it circulates the warm air comming off the heater on the

You should be able to modify the Inter-Pass Delay on the L25500 as long as you have current firmware (7.0.0.4). For SAV media the longest Inter-Pass value allowed is 1500ms. Other media types have different maximum values.

I have that firmware and you can only modify the interpass delay when printing, not set as a default.
If you can tell me how to do it I'd appreciate it.

If you set the value while there is no media loaded, and retain it when loading, it will allow up to 1.5 seconds (1500ms) on the Inter-Pass Delay Value. When unloading, also be sure to retain the value if desired, or it will revert to 0.

Nope. Even without media loaded those parameters are locked off until a job is printing.

You're drilling through the menus on the printer's control panel:

Ink Menu > Image Quality Maintenance > Inter-Pass Delay Offset > Up/ down > Enter to set?
That has worked on every L25 that I have seen since this function was introduced via FW update, sometime in 2013 as I recall.
