HP L260 print head life expectancy

Hello, I've seen a post here but can't find it anymore. Someone commented that they get over 10 liters of inks through print heads before replacement... he mentioned that he prints cmyk band on the running edge of prints and does extra print head cleanings (I think).

my question is... does printing cmyk band help with print head life? and so does the extra cleanings, even if not really required, help with printheads?

I'm trying to figure out if all the corks of this hp printer worth it to keep up with

thanks

We just replaced our heads after 1 full year of use and 14,000ml of ink per head. We were doing extra cleanings and color gutter, but turned them off in June and it has been much better. We only replaced the heads because we have a big print run starting and wanted no issues.

The gutter will help resolve color issues with certain prints where nozzles dry out. Extra printhead cleanings also helps image quality and can keep the heads cooler for prolonged life.
