Hello, I'm printing from Flexi on generic "house" brands banner material (13, matte, Grimco-Fellers-Advanatge "private label" house brands (aka Zeelon, Key-Banner, Optima, and such). They are all pretty similar and cheap basic banner vinyls. My problem is that from Flexi using the profiles it came with I can't print below 10 pass. On Zeelon it does not dry well below 10 pass and comes out "wet", on Advantage's Optima house brand nothing below 10 pass "covers" the material and you can see the thread and texture of the vinyl and roller marks through the ink (like white unprinted blemishes) unless I go with 10 pass.
Question is, is it worth investing in custom profiling for Flexi to print cheap banner material in below 10 print mode (like 6 pass perhaps). Or is it the limitation of the media / ink set and custom profiling will not really help to lower the pass mode (speed up printing)?
