This might be a stupid question but what are the steps to find the hard disk recovery in the service menu? I can’t seem to find it.How did you update the firmware? Is your firmware now NEXUS_02_14_00.1?
I would check that network cable is properly connected and then run hard disk recovery from service menu. Usually fixes those.
often with firmware, you have to reload settings. i haven't done one of these hp'sAre you sure the IP address is the same for everything? Mine likes to change so I have to reset it.
It's "1.11 Hard Disk Recovery", just follow the numbers.

Where do i find that? You need the code to access it first.
The link light is still on and when i type the ip address into my browser the printer comes up and is connected.often with firmware, you have to reload settings. i haven't done one of these hp's
you can download advanced ip scanner and see if the printer has a new address, or download the hp setup utility which will search by mac address and find the printer regardless of what the ip has changed to
OR
hook your laptop up directly with an ethernet cable (disconnected from the rest of the network and see if it gives you an ip address
i suppose the first question i should have asked you, is the link light still lit when you plug the printer in?
I've seen it and manual posted many times. Little search should bring it up.Man, I always find it kindly silly that you tell folks to run something from the service menu and don't provide the access code. I mean, I get that you "can't", not saying you should, but I have yet to find out how to come up with this service code without hunting down a copy of the service manual.
So really, how is any given printer owner supposed to get that code?
Well that was quite specific advice. Must have been some information that you didn't share here.I ended up solving the problem! Someone on the FB HP forum told me to delete the HP PVC Free wallpaper icc. Apparently that was the problem! The printer connected no problem after that. I’m irritated that hp supports only advice was to replace all the print heads and inks.
I guess in theory no? But possibly if you call them with a problem and they want you to run a test they have to give it to you first.Yeah but aside from more nefarious methods like finding it online, will HP come off the code without someone paying for certification training or something?
