HP9000s USB configuration with wasatch 5.3

Hey guys... New to the threads here. Maybe someone can help me out.

I had an HP9000S years ago and ran it with wasatch 5.3. Everything ran fine for years.
We just bought a different used HP9000S and the same wasatch rip does not recognize the new(used) printer. The wasatch rip says the physical connection is USB 002 while the printer settings (on the printer control panel) says USB 001.
The HP9000S driver seems to be ok, but the computer says check connection when getting ready to print.

Does anyone know how to get the wasatch to connect to the printer?

I'm having a similar issue with ONYX Thrive, on windows 7.

Windows 7 takes a different driver for the HP9000. Onyx has a driver written for the windows 7 for the printer to work. Not sure about Wasach.
