I am trying to create polka dot text so that I can print and cut in Flexi.
Flexi has a polka dot fill however, you can only use black dots. I need red dots. So in Corel, you can use whatever colors you want so I created the text and used the pattern fill.

Heres the problem.....no matter what file format I save it in, .eps .ai .pdf...IT WILL NOT OPEN in Flexi. It keeps saying error in input.

Get this...I even turned it into a complete vector file. Tracing it in Corel and exporting as an .eps and it STILL wont open the file.

Please help me if you can. I have tried everything...!!!!!! Getting a major headache.

pattern fill is a bitmap to start with - I think eps with bitmap and vector messes up most programs. If you are autotracing and exporting, make sure your orig bitmapped pattern fill isnt still there under it or something

Here is how you can do it in flexi.

-Create text that you want, then add Polkadots fill.
-Copy and paste new text
-Convert to Image (use a high dpi so your dots are not pixelated
-Vectorize
-Compound the Vector, color red
-Change the original to the color background you want
-Put the vector dots over the background text.

hope this helps
