i have discovered my landlord is not a good person…..

nashvillesigns

Making America great, one sign at a time.
After refacing the building and destroying all out old signs, the landlord initially said he would "split the cost of all new signs for myself and the other two tenants. No i receive an email saying, "your all on your own"
Advice? Thoughts? Suggestions??

Does not matter, how good of a person some one is (at least you think that way) Get stuff like that under invoice & signature at least. Business first, being nice second, other ways you might get screwed.

I'd call the other two tenants your witnesses, since same thing happened to them. Offer Landlord 1/2 the rent until his half of all your new signs are paid for. My former Landlord never paid his bills to me for all the signage and advertising products he ordered from me. When my lease was up, I gave him notice and left the last month unpaid. But unfortunately, that was only a fraction of what he still owes me, I'll never get the rest of it from him. Long line of people trying to collect. So, get what you can. You have no signs advertising your businesses now, so you lose more than the sign. Bring that up too - potential losses for everyday your sit with no sign out front.
