IJ180C vs 3751RA

So, I was just about determined that IJ180C would be my new shop cast/wrap vinyl but I keep reading about people loving Oracal 3751RA for their wrap film. If it's equal or better to IJ180C, it's worth the savings. However, if it's harder to work with and can cause problems then the savings are not worth it to me.

Is it as good or better than IJ180C?
Would it be ok to use for all my other cast applications? (signs, decals, etc)

Tell me what you think! Thanks :)

I like it. I am only worried about removals. 180 comes off like butter most the time. 3751 has not been out long enough I do not think to see how removal is after 4-5 years.

I really like 3751 print quality.

Gotcha... so maybe I don't want to use this as my standard high-performance vinyl if it's a sign or some project that I'm likely to screw up? ;)

Would you use it on signs?

I'd say that thread is enough to make me want to stick with IJ180C for now :)

3751 is a far superior wrap film. I've used miles of 180, and miles of 3751. 180 is more user friendly to the newer wrappers. But most experience wrappers who give the 3751 a try love it.

As i mentioned, 180 is going to easier to install, with avery EZ RS being the easiest. Oracal I would say is for more of the advanced wrappers. And i have no problems removing it.

What is it about the 3751 that makes experienced wrappers love it? Why wouldn't experienced wrappers love more user friendly wraps? Wouldn't easy = time = money?

Thanks for your feedback!

It's better because if you're experienced you don't re position as much. Keeping the installing going much faster...

theres several things to take into consideration.

Performance.

If oracal 3751 Wrinkles and creases, they don't leave stress marks like 3M does.

3751 stretches much further, and takes less stress.

Oracal is a bit harder to remove, but that's because it sticks. And you charge for it in the end...

Company Side.

Oracal has a much more extensive warranty then 3M, and actually honor it.

Oracals support is FAR superior then 3M.

Oracal won't try and take your big accounts away from you.

Safe to say someone here is using Oracal Now..

I've actually never tried the 3751

Do people still use the Oracal 3751 for non-wrap applications? Seems like people use IJ180C for just about everything. I don't see why you couldn't use 3751 for everything also, but I was just curious :)

then it is overkill,

What would your recommendation be? 80% of our business is printed decals on intermediate vinyl, so my fear is that we don't do enough high-performance vinyl production to justify carrying multiple cast vinyls... what do you think?

And if 3751RA is overkill, what is a cheaper digital cast that I should be carrying for my day to day sign stuff?
