Ink drops

I have a VJ1204. I printed a 2x10 foot banner. At the end of the banner it picked up dust from the roll and made smeared drops in the open position of the banner.
Does anyone know what would remove the ink smear with out having to redo the job?

I've been able to clean up random drops with a bit of denatured alcohol before the ink has completely set. As for it being dry, use your imagination - but be careful.

you can use Iso 99% alcohol if caught quickly. if that doesn't work use cleaning fluid followed up with alcohol to remove the oily residue.
