I did cleans and ink charge i try pulling from the cap top and still no ink is coming down. I pull from the line going to the double lines to the dampers and the ink comes up but when i take off syringe it run back , when i pull from the damper it doesn't stay in the damper it runs out. Can anyone help me out?

I usually get coffee filter paper and cut a piece and put it on the top of cap and put enough amount of cleaning solution and bring head on the top and let it sit for 15 mints, than remove and do 2 or 3 time cleaning. It should start shooting ink. Unless you have some where air leak. good luck

DIY Printer Fixing Guide
This is a brand new head with no ink in it so there should be no need for soaking it.

Check that your print head is parallel with the platen. This is a problem I see a lot when customers install their own head. Usually the left side of the head gets caught and doesn't sit down all the way in the carriage but it feels like it won't push down any further so people think that's the way it should be. It will be very noticeable if you take a look at the space between the head and platen. If one side is higher than the other, your maintenance station won't make a connection with the head. That would be the first thing I would check. If it is crooked, you will have to take all of the dampers off again to get to the head. When everything is loose, jiggle the head around until you feel it snap down. Take a look at the space between the platen and the head to verify it is parallel and then reset the dampers.

If the head looks fine, check the capping station for any missing or damaged parts. Get any debris or even hairs off of the head and cap top. Make sure to wet the cap top with cleaning solution before trying to do a fill up. This will help the initial fill.

2 Notes:

1. When pulling ink through dampers on the 1204 with a syringe, you will never get a good pull from just 1 damper at a time as they are connected with a y connector. If you want to fill them manually you will have to use 2 syringes. 1 for each channel/color. If the ink doesn't stay in the damper after doing that, try running a cleaning cycle to pull the ink through and that will usually hold the ink in the damper. If the ink does not stay no matter what you do, you are leaking air somewhere, most likely the o-ring connection but could be other spots. Also, the system naturally allows the ink to move back to the cartridge if there is not damper or an air leak.

2. Similar to the dampers, on the 1204 if you want to pull with a syringe from below the maintenance station, you need to pull from both tubes or clog one and pull from one. If you only pull from one tube and leave the other open, you will only get air. The waste tubes connect to the same opening.
