Ink usage on SP 540

Can someone please tell me how much ml of ink ink the sp 540 use per square meter.Say it is a full colour picture in best quality.

You cannot say how much per square metre as different prints use different amounts of ink.
I honestly have given in worrying how much ink our machine uses as it is such a cheap consumable.
The only thing that is an issue is when printing at best quality how much time it takes.
I would print test prints of in different settings and see if there is a difference.
I don't think our machine has ever been used at the best setting yet as the quality is just as good in the lower settings.

We run a Mutoh Valuejet 1604.
I have a friend who had a SP 540 and has just upgraded to a Valuejet and reckons the ink useage is comparable to the SP 540.
It will probably take about 6 months to figure out how much the ink useage is.
Is this your first solvent printer?

In versaworks you can see the ink consumption for the job on the main panel in the area about that has all of the info on the selected job. It will be in cc units which is cubic centimeters. 1 cc = 1 ml. Pick a job that is of the size you are looking for and base your figures off of the data from that.

thats not 100% accurate. I had a big job it estimated 1600ml of ink. I printed the ink levels and monitored the job before and after. I calculated the ink usage to be more around the 1200ml mark based on the % levels of ink used. So its only a guide in versaworks.

But a round about figure that is thrown about is $5 per square metre.
