I have a prismjetextra 46"and was printing banners over the weekend. I ran out of black and I only have solaris ink cartridge for Roland. I put it in and print looked same. The cost for the 440 solaris is about the same as the prismjet 220. Has anyone done this or is their any issues.

As your prismjetextra and your Roland use the same printer head (DX4 solvent head), and seems like your prismjetextra run without chips.
There will no issues when you use 2 kinds ink temporary.

But advice is use the same ink for one printer.
There are some elements different from different ink, they may react each other, can jam the nozzle.
And, please clear printer before your change the ink.
