IPS Panel Necessary?

Do you guys use TN panels or IPS panels, is the accurate color gamut important for using software like Versaworks?

For VW no IMO. For PS and Ai absolutely.

S-IPS panels are the reason Mac's are expensive.

I'm at my iMac right now.

Many don't use them, but IPS displays most definitely have their benefits.

I would recommend them, especially if you (or your customers) are "color sensitive". Along those same lines, if you are going to spend the $$$ on an IPS display, you should be calibrating your displays as well (IMHO)..

I got a nice cheap lg ips led, at best buy for 150

Looking at this on an NEC LCD2690WUXi2. IPS all the way! and yes.... also calibrated with our i1.
