Is Banner Hem Tape Enough?

I’m making a 1-sided 6’x4’ banner that spends a few weeks a year outside on some hooks against a wall. I need to borrow a sewing machine if I decide to sew the edges, and I’m wondering if 2-sided banner hem tape and grommets are enough to ensure the edges stay in one piece?

Hem tape should work fine. Just make sure you are utilizing quality hem tape. We carry a heavy duty hem tape that has a very strong adhesive if anyone needs any. 1"x164' roll for $8. Price on shipping drops when ordering more than one.

I bought a banner welder from Supply 55 and that thing works awesome!! Almost just like a big shrink wrap sealer. I had 100 double sided pole pocket banners to do, so it paid for itself on that one job. It is only 24" wide, so can get a little cumbersome, but I have done 5' by 50' banners on it and probably only took 10 minutes to weld. I would recommend it to anyone looking at one.

Has anyone used the hem tape from Signworld? That is cheap!! If it is as good as what I use now I would try it!
