Question Is Mimaki UJV 100-160plus worth it comparing it to UCJV330?

Hello guys,

We are looking to buy an uv plotter and since the Mimaki is available we were looking to get ujv 100-160 plus, we will need to get a good clear print and we don't need the cutter on the machine so we don't think we should pay thousands just for a cutting option.

Could somebody tell us the experience with both of this machines or with any of them so you could help us choose better?

Do you need white ink?

The UCJV330 is not just an UJV100 with cutter, it has a higher production speed too. And while für an UJV100 you need to decide bevore filling if you want to print white under color or white over color, on an UCJV you can do both driven by the print mode.

The UJV100 is a printer that was just skipped. If they had a UJV330, that would be a great option for those of us who didn't want another slow AF vinyl cutter and the expense thereof. However, I wouldn't hold my breath too long.

Well from what I've seen it's a new printer, it got out of production like 6 months ago and thought maybe somebody bought it and see the experience.

Well how do you mean, why would I want to print white over color, do you have any example that how could i use it like that because under color of course but over color I don't see the point?

Second surface mounts that are viewed through glass/ acrylic.

Pullback prints on the UCJV300/330 are great sellers, lets us do clear material with art on both sides and color in middle. Don't think the UJV100 can do that.

Yeah the 100 is considered more of an entry level machine and the 300/330 is their top of the line all the bells and whistles model.

Did all of your uv printings on your page are made with ujv100-160Plus? I wanted to also ask you how is red on print because usually with ujv100-160 old they say it has a big problem with red color and also from some that we saw that bought the 300 or 330 they have problem with red, so what do you think overall is it worth it?

We already talked on WhatsApp, but to put it on the forum, no, we have not had any problems with the colors in the prints.
