Is parts for a VJ-1204 and VJ-1614 interchangeable?

I currently have a VJ-1204 and I have someone will to give me a non working VJ-1614. Can I use parts from the 1204 on the 1614 to get it working?

DIY Printer Fixing Guide
The print head and maintenance station are the same. There are a few other minor parts that are the same but obviously anything that has to do with the width of the machine will be different.
