Is the GRID under a Cutting Mat useful?..

I'm just trying to decide if it's worth it to order a grid (or print one eventually) with my new cutting mat. What do you use it for? Thanks..

Yes. We use it all the time for eyeballing initial alignment for mounting prints with bleeds.

It's better to have two hands than one glove.

I couldn't imagine not having a grid on any cutting mat I own. It's infinitely useful for informal alignment and measurement.

Make sure that whatever grid you get has inch [or whatever you use in your village] marks on all four sides. Very handy for lopping off lengths of material.

Grids are a good tool. Mine is separate from the mat. Did that years ago. Now I just get the cheap clear 4' x 8' mats. Ta-da!
