Is there any way to increase plotter speed?

Hi.
I have Artsign 1360 plotter. It is very slow at cutting curves. It takes forever to cut curved parts despite of the speed settings. Although it`s pretty quick on straight lines. I have used Graphtek plotter and it cut curves significantly faster.
I have heard that there are different cutting languages, so maybe it is the problem? Please advise.

artsign plotter is old.............and probably NON-ADJUSTABLE CUT SPEED....my ROLAND CX-300 has speed adjustment...
