JFX 200 & LUS150 Inks

Hi everyone,

I run a JFX 200 with a LUS 150 ink set and I am wondering what the standard expiry time for those ink is ?
Regularly, the inks that are arriving have 6 to 8 month expiry time which I find quite short especially for the Primer and Clear that I don't use that much.

So question, is my supplier just trying to get ride of short ink dates or is this normal ?
By the way where are you buying your inks in Europe and at what price ?

Thanks for your help.

These inks have some of the shortest shelf life and a lot of people have this exact same issue. In fact, Mimakis's guarantee is only 3 months by the time it gets to dealers, although they usually don't stick it to us that bad. 6 - 8 months is normal in the US with 12 being a happy surprise once in a while. That being said, if you can find a dealer who sells a lot of LUS150 inks, they are more likely to have better expiry dates. Your dealer might just not have a ton of LUs150 users.

If there are local aftermarket ink dealers in your area, it might be better off switching brands to something that's drop shipped or doesn't spend months in storage.

I am very lucky, I got the white ink that I do not use too much for almost a year for expiration date, for the other inks, I am the only one using the machine since 2017 and I know when to order ink, you get 3 months after expiration date, but they are not really 3 month, if your expiration date is any day of the month, that is the firs month, for example, if the ink expires on march 31, march is the first month, leaving you exactly 2 months, if that ink expires on march first, then you get 3 months, but the 3 months they give you starts on the first day of the month your ink expires. Hope I was clear on this.
About 2 years ago, it took close to 2 weeks to get the ink, now I get the ink in less than 4 days, I wait until 2 weeks left on the extra time given to order ink, also, now they are making the ink to last a little longer.
