JFX200 2513EX - Magenta missing from head 1

Lots of problems recently with my JFX EX

Current situation is no magenta from head 1, I think the head surface is fine as they were coming and going from perfect to none and all in between and now all gone.

I was advised to try subtask (1 ordered, on way) however if from the maintenance menu I can successfully fill it and discharge it does that suggest the magenta is flowing fine or does it take a different route on discharge and not go through the filter ?

Also strangely during a nozzle check yesterday all of the cyan nozzles disappeared from the other head (head 2) for a moment which made me think back to pressure (all pressure lines are clear and contain no ink) wouldn't a pressure issue impact the whole head and not just certain channels? pressure readings are fine on control panel and stay consistent.

Thanks for any help

Run a clean and look at the capping station to see if you have magenta being pulled through the nozzles. Also not a bad idea to follow your ink lines and look for possible damage or disconnections.

Sorry if obvious, what's best way to take a look to see if magenta is flowing during the clean? Ink lines good, i know magenta is getting from bottles to sub tank

I clean the capping station, then do a light clean before wiping the cap down again with a white cloth to see what colors there are.

I had the printhead missing the top half of the cyan and yellow, no luck getting the ink to be even, black, magenta test print was great, but cyan and yellow, only the bottom half was printing, we replaced the print head, and about 8 months later, we had the same problem, the difference was in the test print, magenta and black was perfect, but cyan and yellow, again missing about half, this time, it was the top half, we replaced again the print head and change inks, we were using a third party inks and it was recommended to switch back to Mimaki inks, we did and it has been close to a year that test prints look like a brand new print head.

Mimaki head assemblies have a weird issue I have run into where the tubing in the assembly flares out and lets air in. It's an easy fix after dealing with the pain of removing the head and subtank, I just flush the head with some isopropyl alcohol and use some UV Tygon tubing to replace all the old tubing in the assembly. Not really a fix anyone can do but solved losing 50%+ of a channel in my cases.
