Joining MDO Panels

I can't seem to find any local suppliers for 5' x 10' MDO. Does anyone have any tips on joining (butt) panels together and getting a seamless finish? Is it even worth it? Should I just dowel or scarf the edges together and then overlay it with some Alumalite or equivalent. Finished product is only 5' x 6'

If it is up 8'-10' feet now worth it. If you are that woried about it you will have to place the panels in place the paint them there, to me it is a NON issue.

This is a post and panel type application with some dimensional elements. The sign will be at eye level.
