Just a quick Flexi contour cut question

I am trying to set up a contour cut on a 5 colour logo and I set it to-.01 and it shows that something has happened, but when I go into view filter, I see no contour cut.

I backed out and tried again, and again shows no contour cut.

I then sent the file through program manager as if I was going to print it and in there I can see contour cut highlighted. back in Flexi I can right click on the logo and seperate the cut or release it. I don't trust the software if i can't see the cutline, so I thought, let's see what happens if I make the value positive.... and now i can not only see the cutline, I can see contour cut under the view filter.
What gives here? I can't ever remembering setting a negative value for a contour cut and not being able to detect any sign of a contour cut before proceeding.

Rather than set a contour cut to -.01 try this:

Create a .01 inline, separate the effect, bring the inline to the top layer and Arrange>Contour Cut>Make Contour Cut. You will be able to see it this way at least.

The contour cut created via your other method might not be on the top layer (it doesn't need to be on the top to function). But that may be why you can't see it. Sometimes Flexi does wonky things.

+1 More than likely an ordering/ layering issue.

I agree with you accept that in the view filter there is no contour cut showing at all...this is the part i don't get.
