y-current errors, as of late, more and more frequently. bout ready to buy a new $700 motor, but the issue comes/goes so I haven't really gotten around to making the expense just yet... But now, to top it off, this morning while running some test prints, i'm getting a squeeky-grinding noise as the carriage travels from right to left (but not the other way)
cleaning/oiling is no use, still squeeking. ugh!
I don't know what caused me to do so, but I decided to press firmly against the silver rails the carriage travels on, while in operation, to see if the noise changed at all... i'll be damned, but, the squeaking disappeared immediately and printer has been running great allday without a single y-current error!
hoping not to jinx myself, but figured I'd share the story.
most likely time to tighten all of the screws holding the rails in place?
