Jv33 - how to pull ink through the head?

Hi. I'm hoping someone cal help me. I been advised I need to pull ink with a syrenge through the print head through the capping station. I know how to manually open the ink cart solenoids. Do I need to do anything special in the printer menu to open up the print head nozzles sort of? Don't want to pull ink of the nozzles are in the locked mode. The printer is jv33-160. Thanks!

You got it right. Open all of the valves and pull with the syringe. Make sure to clog the other waste tube so that you pull ink from the head and not air from the other waste tube as they are connected to the same compartment.

Once the valves in the back are opened, the system is open and ready to move ink through.
