L25500 Bad Printhead?

My L25500 is telling me the #3 YK printhead is bad. It has told me this before, and also gave me a message saying I needed to re-seat this printhead. I have always been able to pull it out, put it back in and it's fine. But now it's telling me the print head is bad, and no matter what I do it won't accept it. I even swapped the other YK printhead into the #3 spot, and it continues to tell me #3 is faulty. Any help would be appreciated.

We got rid of our L25 a while ago but I remember that happening on more than one occasion. A new print head will likely resolve your issue, make sure you clean the contacts also.

I would say sounds more like a contact issue. Have you cleaned all the contacts real good on the back of the print head and the back of the carriage where the print head touches? Slap a new one in there for a minute and see if it works? If a new one doesn't work it's most definitely a contact issue.

btw, do you turn your machine off at night? I have had my L25 since 2011, and have never turned it off according at the suggestion of a tech.
Also for $25 call HP and they will give you a week of phone support for that problem.

I got it back up and running. I swapped print heads several times and cleaned everything real good and finally it decided it was good with it. I'm going to order a new printhead just in case. But no I never turn it off, it stays in sleep mode when I'm not using it.
