Hello, I am running into an issue with our 570. Firstly, the prints are pulling optimizer ink only from the intermediate tank, and not the 3.0L Tank. Both ink tanks were replaced and the problem has continued, they are under warranty, or were not too long ago.
There are no leaks behind either ink tank. I ran the diagnostic menu on 3.0L components and the purge test on the Optimizer Ink tank. The component check came back OK, and we did hear the OP Pump behind the 3.0L Tank working.
When I ran a purge of the optimizer ink, the display had some average and standard values, then the next screen said 'PIP Saturated, please replace and restart.'
Does anyone have past experience with replacing the PIPs? Does this seem like the next logical step?
From what I can tell B4H70-67137 seems to be the correct PIP part number for my printer.
Secondly, since my shop does not run a lot of prints, and my inks tend to expire way before I can ever use them, I was thinking of uninstalling the ink upgrade kit, and just running off the intermediate tanks, but HP seemed to discourage that when I called about the OP ink issues, saying I needed to purchase all new ink tanks and other items that I can not remember anymore. Does anyone have any experience uninstalling the large format ink tanks? Is it difficult and what parts would I need to replace?
Thank you for time and expertise,
Jake
