Latex to ultra metallic or metalized Polyesters

HI all,

I am considering the new 310 cooler running latex printer. Has anybody tried printing on ultra metallic or material like engine turn vinyls or polyesters?
I am replacing a 1304 Valuejet that really is quite versatile for odd applications.

We have successfully test printed using HP Latex on coated and un-coated polyesters for various applications ranging from engine turn vinyls to backlit films. I find the ink to be highly compatible with a tremendous range of medias, more so than any solvent ink that I am aware of.

The 300 series does not heat the media in the print zone as prior Latex machines did, making this 3rd generation Latex even more compatible with heat-sensitive medias.

That's good to know. My L260 will make a "printable" chrome look like a silver. Too much heat. I have been able to print on Avery Supreme Wrap silver with good results.

I don't like the look of the engine turn off my L26500. My 9000s do a lot better job of it. I have some custom metallic made and it is ok, but the solvent inks seem to leave a better impression of colour depth to me.
