Making America great, one sign at a time.
Can this be done with authority?
i know white acrylic lettering lights up better than clear, however when the clear has a secondary piece of white bonded to acrylic that is clear, it lights up the same.
( if not close..)
the difference is the LED has to travel through BOTH pieces to work.
The clear lettering is already made, the size is half inch thick by 10" letters. the edges are frosted, which REALLY lights up when i place a LED light against that part.
i am thinking of lighting it both ways. back lit and edge lit. the acrylic is going to be mounted "push through " style, of course. that material is omega bond, in black.
Instead of a half inch sticking out, they would only come out no more than a quarter inch.
the entire sign is actually pre-made and the customer wants to increase the brightness as much as possible.
thoughts, signmasters?
