You could put aluminum tape over the seam to even the heat distribution. Same tape heating contractors use. It can be found at any hardware store.

Yes, put piece of aluminium tape or folio where the plates are joined.I have the same problem especially on full red and brown print. When I got some time I`ll try to disassemble heating unit and to move heating plates closer.

I bought tape in Merkur, it is silver and twice expensive then regulary tape. Or you can use piece or aluminium folio and stick it with regulary crape tape. On this forum one or two years ago one users advice me to disassemble heating unit and to move heating plates closer, but I did`t try it yet. When I look in service manual I think it is possible. When I do it I`ll inform you.

ok. i will go to merkur, and take a look...

i still cant imagine how could you move plates closer, when there isnt even 1mm space between them!

ok, will wait, untill you do it...

yes, seriously!

i dont see excally where he seal it!

ok, now i read it more carefully, and i saw where he seal it... on the bottom of the heaters, and than lift up, to cover front side, and than cut it off...

I will try this today, and we will see, if it would do any good!
