LM printing Gray?

On my nozzle check LM is printing blue-gray. Usually when this sort of thing
happens you can print a few test prints and cleaning it will stop. I can't get
it to stop this time. Cross contamination I suppose, do you think I should
replace the damper? Help please!

Check the damper and see if it is blue-gray.
If it is check the line(s) as well to see how far back it goes.

Yes, really sounds like cross-contaimination.
And that is usually related to swelling of the cap pad and uneven ink amounts in the cartridges. So, that effectively a full cart will wick through the pad and push ink into a cartridge with less ink.

You can connect a syringe to that one side and pull a little ink through and that should clear it up, but this is probably all about the cap pad touching the head and uneven ink levels in the two cartridges.

Just replaced the capping station, but I did fill it with cleaning fluid and leave
it to soak over the week end. I'll check the damper when I find the time.

Makes sense, if you filled the capping station you completed the 'circuit' that allowed one ink to wick into the other.

Just remember when you do this to put in two cartridges that have about the same amount of ink in them (which will give the same amount of 'head' pressure to the inks).

I would put a syringe on that side and pull a little ink through, you should be good to go.
