Local ads on this forum?

How do the ad's work on this forum? I just saw one of my customers local ads. I guess it surprised me...I'm not saavy with this kind of thing. Obviously I've seen a million things that I google throughout the day but was surprised to see a local company!

It happens for me to - but I'm getting local to me ads, not yours.

They're mostly Google powered ads along with another 3rd party. The short of it is . . . . . cookies.

Google knows all.

They pretty much know your whole browser history - They keep track of everything with "unique" ID's so they dont break the law.

They know everything you browse, if you have a google home, or android phone...they record snippets and know keywords you talk about. Pretty much your whole online presence is monitored by google.... to give you a "Better" ad experience.

The stuff they get away with monitoring just because you agree to their terms is crazy. But they know which street your PC is on, so giving you local ads isnt hard

I can't view this site without an Adblocker. Completely unbearable, like most of the rest of the internet today.
