Local Farmers Market Logo

This mornings Project.

We wanted to avoid the typical farm scene you often see in farmers market logos. Since it takes place downtown I wanted to create a small building that looks like it would fit right at home in our little downtown.

Very, VERY nice Joe! I did something similar a couple of years ago, although mine lacked all the nice little finishing touches yours has!

When I grow up, I want to be like Joe Diaz!

Looks great! Personally, I dont like it when a logo has elements that fade off in to nothing like the sun rays on the colored version, but thats just me. I dont like having to guess where to put the contour cut line.

Damn, that looks good.

The farmers markets around here are all beat up and old. No way would they have any money for a terrific logo like that. Joe you found a rare one that cares about their image!

Cool and sophisticated....

Dave Showalter from Bryan Ohio had one featured on the cover of SignCraft a few years ago.

I don't like the tan drop shadow on FARM MARKET.
I'd try that in deep red.
I also don't think it needs the wheat thingies.
Love....Jill

That part wouldn't have to be apart of this logo on every application. It would work fine on print if it were going on mid-toned background. But if it were to be die-cut, or embroidered on a polo, you would lose the sun burst effect. To take it a step further, if the application called for one color that could be done too.

This farmers market is held by our city, who also happens to be one of our best clients. But yes we are lucky because they do understand the importance of their image... and more importantly they understand the importance of working with local craftsman. I know it's not the case with most local governments but this one is very easy to work with.

Not entirely no. You would use what is called accordion spacing (at least with Wilcom it is), that would get you as close to a sunburst effect that you could get. Usually it's used to get close to gradient effects, but if you just have one object instead of two overlapping, it would get you close to that sunburst effect.
