Looking to upgrade

I have the basic version of Flexi -rip that came with my HP L310 but would like to start using the 310 with the Roland GX24 cutter to do print and cut for labels. Looking for the least expensive way to get there with either subscription or purchase. What do I need?

Why not just use your Flexi for print and then just use Cut Studio to run the cutter?

Cut Studio is really really basic as far as design goes, but if you are able to use either Ai/DRAW/Inkscape/Flexi to design, you can use Cut Studio to cut from. There are plugins for Ai/DRAW for Cut Studio to help with placements of reg point etc if you don't want to manually deal with that.

Flexi Cloud Subscription, full suite package including design, rip, print/cut, etc. $59 a month for month to month, $49 a month for 1 year commitment (still charged monthly). I also have some design only subscriptions for $19 per month on various shop computers, which can still rip/print/cut over the network to the main license computer, pretty cool stuff.

I use it to drive my Graphtec plotters and my HP 310 printer.

That’s true. I’ll have to set the cut-head position manually over the cut-marks using either program so upgrading may not really offer any advantages.

If you like Flexi stay with it...that would be the least expensive way to go...your other option would be Onyx Gamma Print Pro...just make sure it supports print/cut...it is a reduced copy of Postershop

I made an attempt of adding registration marks in Sign-lab, printing, then setting the cut head manually over the reg. mark but it was pretty far off. My mistake might have been centering the head over the mark. Lower corner of the mark may have worked
