Lost icon viewer for EPS file and more formats

I recently lost the ability to view the icons (picture of graphic) for EPS, AI. I use Corel Draw 2019. I have done some searching for FREE apps / programs. Inscape has come up, I have read that some members use this. Wanting to avoid a huge mistake on my part of not know computers all that well. I have a few questions

1- Is it easy to use?
2- Does it interfere with other programs
3-Is it really free? or only a small part of the program free?

Irfan view used to be ok.
I've not tried it for 10 years. I use an old version of Adobe Bridge instead.

There is a now unsupported but probably still usable program known as Ghostview available here:

You may also want to consider using GIMP, an open source image
manipulation program
