Loving the end of this year

Clients say: I need a full wraps done for my fleet.

We say: Ok, but we are booked into the end of January for all design work and wraps.

Clients say: that's fine, just write us an invoice and we will pay in full so it can make this years taxes.

We say: No problem

What's wierd is.. This has happened with over 10 clients this year.

Anyone else?

You have obviously not been involved with the agriculture industry In my days as owner of an agricultural fertilizer/chemical dealership, December 31 was my busiest day of the year ... for this exact reason

Clients would drop off a cheque and tell me to just write up what I think they will need ... as long as it's marked "this year"

Some people are making money. Porbably because they are getting proper markups, charging for all the time they spend on a job, delivering a quality product and being sure they get paid. What a novel idea. We should all try it.

They are prob taking advantage of a tax loophole set to expire this yr. it allows you to fully depreciate your acquisition this yr instead of the normal time which is several yrs.

I've got about 5 jobs that are fully paid the same way. Can't install the work right now ... too cold, tanks are too long for really ... any shop but they wanted to make sure it's all paid so when the day is right they can just pop in and get it done. Also have 3 jobs that are all paid for, work is done ... just waiting for the guys to come pick them up or get them installed.

yes. Most people aren't busy this time of the year. It's our busiest season. Summers are slower for us.

December is usually our best month of the year.
