Mmmmm....signs
I am looking for a good low to mid-volume roll-to-roll UV curable printer. Something speed-wise comparable to an HP Latex 360 printer. We have an Oce flatbed with the roll printing option, but it is not very robust. We cannot print to heavier or wide rolls very well. We have a couple of Latex printers, but I don't like the output they do on materials outside of adhesive vinyl (which it does very well). We print to all kinds of weird materials on our UV printer with no problems. We print a decent amount of wallcovering material, and the Latex printers buckle and warps the material considerably. I'm considering an HP Scitex 550 UV printer, but is the roll printing on it pretty robust? Can it handle a 150ft long roll of 60" wallcovering material? I would like to keep it under $100k. I don't need flatbed printing on it, since I already have a flatbed.
