Sign companies with exclusive dealership contracts. If you have a dealership requesting a quote for one of these, you're spinning your wheels. They often sub out the installs, but fabrication is limited to certain companies.

Do you want to buy some of the existing logos and lettering? Or - do you want to make your own.
That process, from what I understand, is silver mirror finish on the INSIDE of the clear plastic . . . not on the OUTSIDE.
Please tell us exactly what you are looking for - and what you want to do.

To me, that's a bit odd that if they are the manufacturing "plant", they don't know who makes the signs for their distributors?? (Or, to contact their distributor for their proprietary corporate signs).
We certainly appreciate your enthusiasm in wanting to serve the potential client. But, as artisans, we can't do it all and must simply pass on some projects. Just keep trudging along. I would even visit one of the distributors "IN PERSON" to speak with the managers.
Let us know how it turns out for you.
Posting a photo of the part you need (size, colors, etc) may help us help you further.
I was thinking that you had a CNC of some sort ????

Dealerships are in no way 'distributors.' They are more equivalent to a mcdonalds, and the plant that processes chicken nuggets. It's not all that surprising that the plant wants a big sign, and they have no clue how the dealership signage program works, or that it's even a thing. In all honesty, it's probably a marketing intern trying to satiate his boss, who's saying 'we need some big ole signs like all the dealerships have!' Odds are, you'll spin your wheels, develop some kind of quote, and the intern will end up taking all the flak for his ignorant boss's plan if someone tries to submit it for a PO.
Additionally, not sure how these are manufactured, but I doubt I'd touch the process of making a 5' logo with a chrome surface without an established process, so this would be something I'd sub out myself.
